             ICC World Cup 1987 Final Match Scorecard and Details 

The fourth ICC world cup is hosted by the India and Pakistan and Eden Garden is chosen as the world cup final match venue. ICC World Cup 1987 is played between the Australia VS England at the Kolkata Stadium on the 8 November. Both the teams are playing its second final match of the ICC world cup, Australia reached into 1975 final first time and England reached 1979 final.  But they both lost the match against West-Indies. 

Australia won the toss and chooses to bat first. They scored a good defendable target of 253 runs for 5 wickets. David Boon played an inning of 75 runs on 125 balls and Mike Veletta played a not-out inning of 45 runs on 31 balls. England needs 254 runs in 50 over with a run rate of 5.06 runs per over. But, England team failed to achieve this target and the whole team will be all-out on just 253 runs in 50 over by losing 8 wickets. 


n the England batting side, three players score 40+ runs Athey, Gatting and Lamb. But other batsmen are failed to maintain run rate, result is England lost the match by 7 runs only.
